Wespets.com is a startup built by passionate pet lovers. We are the first Social Network, Marketplace and Service hub for Pet Lovers - all in one place. Our goal is to unite shelters, breeders, rescue advocates, and fellow pet enthusiasts into one inclusive, supportive community. Our mission is simple: bring more attention to shelter animals and increase adoption rates.
Each year, nearly 2 million cats and dogs are euthanized in U.S. shelters. While 6.6 million pets enter shelters annually, only 3.2 million are adopted, despite the fact that over 7 million people plan to get a pet every year.
Countless rescue organizations and activists are working toward achieving “no-kill” shelter status, but the reality is—it’s not enough, and many animals still lose their lives simply because they weren’t adopted in time.
At Wespets.com we make our goal to help injured and ill pets who are often euthanized because no one adopts them. We produce webcams for animal shelters and provide them for free.
Our platform allows shelters to live stream their pets, so people can see these animals in real time—donate for their care or choose to adopt. We don’t collect donations ourselves—we build tools so shelters can receive support directly from pet lovers.
