I've seen so many cat foods on Amazon with reviews saying they made someone’s cat seriously ill — or even worse.
Does anyone have solid recommendations?
I’m more than willing to spend money on quality food, but finding something that’s both safe and tasty feels way harder than it should be. 😭
There has to be something out there that's healthy and my cat will actually eat.

I love my baby. She’s not always in the best mood and can act like a little badass sometimes, but I know she loves me and would sacrifice her life for me. She brings me more smiles than stress, and I’m forever grateful for her friendship. She is my oldest and forever a boss

-
She is beautiful and must be smart :-)
-
I know these dogs are good friends. How old is she?
-
@Fluffy she is 4.5. Yes she is my bestie
-
-
She looks not too old. I love such dogs
-
I want to adopt a dog too. Unfortunately we move and cannot do it 😕
-
@Lassy I hope you can do it oneday
-
For six long years now, she’s been brightening up my evenings with her squeaky voice and endless demands for a comfortable life. Stubborn to no end, fiercely independent and willful, she’s not one for compromise. Weighing just 7.3 pounds , she still manages to be a heavy presence in every sense. She doesn’t speak any languages, yet she perfectly understands one word — “Let’s go.”
And that, truly, is the most faithful and romantic word there is:
“Let’s go!” — and she’s ready to follow you anywhere, for life, even to the ends of the Earth.

Those eyes! OMG!
-
I always admire them. Such a beautiful creature!
-
My cat only understands her name and only hear it if I have food in my hands lol
-
@Zoe55 same

-
My boy pretends he understands nothing but he knows my every step and he can get something from the fridge. How- I don't know
-
Are the eyes photoshopped or real??? Incredible color
-
@Iamnot It is almost real color, some filters but no photoshop

Urgent: California Animal Shelters at Risk of Shutting Down
Have you heard that some animal shelters in California are being shut down? This is heartbreaking news. Thousands of vulnerable animals—many of them abandoned, sick, or injured—may soon be left without a safe place to go.
These shelters are often the only lifeline for homeless pets. Without them, where will these animals end up? On the streets? In danger?
We can’t stay silent. Please help spread the word, contact local officials, support local rescue groups, and consider fostering or adopting if you’re able. Together,

Homemade Natural Food for Cats
Research shows that to stay healthy over the long term, cats need 22 different amino acids. However, their bodies can naturally produce only 12 — the others, especially taurine and arginine, must come from their diet.
An adult cat should eat about 5% of its body weight per day. Pregnant or nursing females require more, and growing kittens may eat up to 10% of their weight daily.
Most veterinarians recommend a high-protein diet for cats, with about 75% coming from animal protein. In addition to meat, organ meats, and fish, a cat’s diet can include small

Do you guys use bone powder? Or grinding chicken necks is better?
-
I never tried natural food for mines. Is it safe?
-
Of course it is — as long as you take the proper precautions, like freezing raw meat, avoiding whole bones, and ensuring your cat gets the right balance of vitamins and nutrients
-
How do you get the right balance? I am lazy, so far cat food was ok but just in case
-
@Zoe55 I will post on my wall on Wednesday how to take care of nutrients
-
-
I get Feline Natural wet for my cat, and Royal Canine sometimes. I thought they have all nutrients, don't they?
-
@Catfurry same question
-
@Catfurry yes they should be balanced I guess, read the labels to make sure. I try to go natural, don't know much about brands

The microchip company Save This Life, which used to register microchips for pets, has abruptly closed its operations.
Check on your microchips and ensure that the company you registered through wasn't Save This Life. Registration through 24petwatch and 911petchip is free now.

thank you 😊
-
Thank you for spreading the information!
-
Tank you for sharing, this is so unfair, they at least could notify people ahead, I even didn't know!
-
I had this one :-( I am crying
-
Thank you. The world 🌎 is colliding definitely, do strange things happening
There are definitely some problems with the system, and maybe some changes need to be made.
I have a neighbor — he’s a drunk, very poor — and yet he’s able to adopt puppies from shelters so easily. Three years ago, he had a dog who passed away, and within a week or so, he got a new puppy. Recently, that dog also passed away, and now he has another new, adorable puppy.
He loves them — he even cried when his dog died — but honestly, he’s not a good fit to properly care for them. I don't even know if he has enough money to feed them well; all I ever see is him bringing home beer f

I know, something is not right here. Have no Idea if it might be fixed
-
They’re trying to protect pets from harmful people and kids, and I understand that. Sometimes it's not easy to get through all the applications, and mistakes do happen.
-
I just read that some people even use kittens in witchcraft rituals. It’s disturbing. I think it’s better to be safe than sorry—maybe we really do need stricter adoption procedures to protect these animals.
Be Aware: Cruel Content Creators!
Lately, there has been a surge of videos online showing "kind" strangers — often posing as veterinarians — rescuing sick or dying street animals. But many of these videos are staged: the animals are deliberately made ill with drugs, just to create dramatic "rescues" that generate millions of views.
If a video looks suspicious or overly staged, trust your instincts. Let's stop these people from profiting off cruelty. Report their content — together, we can make a difference!

I choose natural food — raw meat with bones, eggs, and some vegetables, all ground together. I also leave some meat unground for chewing. Everything is frozen for at least three days to kill bacteria and parasites, then warmed up before serving.
Iamnot
Yes, this is a huge problem, I had my cat getting blood in urine after 5 month of amazon delivered food. Never again. Nervous and crying, hundreds on vet , not worth it
PetPet
@KittyCat do not feed raw meat, it is dangerous! You cat may get sick and you too!
Zoe55
Do not buy anything like food or medication on amazon, it is not safe
Lassy
@Zoe55 I usually go to Walmart or Petco, not a big deal, it is safer
Zoe55
I use expensive brands like Royal but I wouldn't ever buy it on amazon, you even don't know who its a seller
AgelessK
@Zoe55 second that
Catfurry
You have to be cautious when shopping on Amazon because many of their products are vulnerable to counterfeiting. There's no guarantee that what you receive is actually from the listed vendor—it could come from an entirely different and unverified source. Counterfeit pet food is becoming a growing concern. It's likely that some people are receiving tampered or unregulated products, which could explain why pets are getting sick or even dying. Personally, I would trust Chewy over Amazon. Amazon has a reputation for allowing counterfeit products, especially from third-party sellers in China. Rather than properly regulating these sales, they often just issue refunds. But a refund won’t fix the damage if your pet’s health is at risk.
Texasgirl
I like Royal Canine, I use Chewy sometimes, but mostly go to the stores, at least they have some control of what they sell
KittyCat
@Catfurry totally agree
